Republic Period
Comprising: a square vase, cong, enamelled with horses in the manner
of Castiglione, with inscriptions and red seals, wood stand; a small
cylindrical vase finely enamelled with scholars observing a water fall,
the reverse with a long inscription, the foot and mouth with a grisaille
border, wood stand.
The cong: 28cm (11in) high (2).

Hongxian four-character mark, early 20th century
The thinly potted globular body rising to a straight neck, finely
enamelled with a mountainous landscape scene with a hermit scholar
venturing out from his villa to the nearby riverside, wood stand. 30.5cm
