A FRESCO FRAGMENT A GREEN AND BLACK JADE CARVING AN IVORY CARVING OF A FEMALE
Probably 13th/14th century OF A RIDER AND HORSE FIGURE
Depicting four Bodhisattvas wearing thickly- Late Qing Dynasty Late Qing Dynasty
folded robes and heavy beaded jewellery, The large mottled stone carved as a boy The naked figure lying in recumbent position
standing amongst tumultuous waves; riding a horse, holding both reins in one hand with head rested on a rectangular pillow, her
together with in the manner of Mi Fu, and a fly whisk in the other. 14cm (5 1/2in) legs bent to the right, right arm raised and left
‘mandarin duck and bamboo’, ink on paper, wide holding a fan, above a lotus leaf detailed with
bearing spurious signature and three spurious a network of veins. 10.5cm (4 1/8in) wide
