circa 1860-1910
A rare mark to find and a
silversmith with outstanding
expertise and creativity.
The item [left] is quite unique. A
highly decorated picture frame
that is hidden by two closed
doors - almost in the style of the
Russian icon frames. The doors
and lock mimic a traditional
Chinese cabinet. The
arabesque-influenced motifs
suggest it could have Hindu
connotations.
