Importantly [for collectors] any enamelled silver that carries the Huang Qiu Ji mark achieves astounding values
            at auction. A late 19th century three piece Poh Hing/Huang Qiu Ji tea set [below] recently was sold in the UK at
            auction for over £43,000 [$69,500]























































                                                                         Applied  champlevé  enamelwork  is  the
                                                                         technique often used by Huang Qiu Ji, as
                                                                         in this, the “famous” aforementioned Poh
                                                                         Sing  tea  set.  A  floral  subject  is  almost
                                                                         always the theme.

                                                                         Blues,  greens,  pinks  and  yellow  are  the
                                                                         colours Huang Qiu Ji favoured.
                                                                         With current Chinese collectors, there is
                                                                         a  particular  preference  for  any  Chinese
                                                                         silver that has enamelled colour applied.
                                                                         This  is  not  dissimilar  to  Chinese
                                                                         preferences  at  the  time  this  tea  set  was
                                                                         made at the end of the 19th century.
