The  illustrated  front  and  reverse  sides  of  this  Houcheong  card  case  demonstrates  the
            extraordinary  skill  of  the  artisan  who  worked  the  piece.  This  particular  box  carries  an
            additional French import mark [see, right]- nothing particularly unusual about this given
            the French “factory” was in the 13 Hongs compound area, a stone’s throw away from the
            Houcheong New China Street premises.!
