HSING CHI [aka: HING KEI; XING JI]
            Canton
            circa 1860-1910

An extremely rare mark. To date only one single item has been recorded carrying the mark, but it indicates a
            silversmith of very high quality.

The round galleried tray, stylistically appears to have been made specifically for the French market and this is
supported by it carrying an additional French ‘swan’ import mark that began too be used in France from 1893.
