            The “fouled” anchor incuse mark a slight mystery. Such marks were part of
            provincial Scottish marks such as Greenock and Dumfries. It is also the
            symbol of the US Federal Navy as seen on this item of mess silver
            The American navy did have a presence at Bangkok
            The British Admiralty normally has a crown above the anchor
