T.Y.T. [aka: YI TAI]
Xi’an [Shaanxi Province], North West China
            circa 1890-1925

TYT is an alternative silver mark used by the manufacturing silversmith Yi Tai. It is not yet known whether TYT
was a retail operation as well as manufacturing. Research is ongoing - also to clarify if the pewter maker Yi Tai
            was one and the same.

A circa 1900 matchbox slip cover bearing the TYT
mark. Pictured below is another matchbox slip bearing
just the Yi Tai mark in Chinese characters

There is absolutely no mistaking that these are from
the same workshop and in the same style.
