            This  is  one  of  the  most  unusual  of  Chinese  Export  silversmiths  but  one  renowned  for  some  extremely  high
            quality work, as this wine ewer [below] demonstrates, similar in style and quality to one housed in the Royal
            Collection at Osborne House, Isle of Wight, UK

            Tian  Xing  was  also  a  known  maker  of  Peranakan  silver,  hence  its  Singapore  base  [see  following  illustration]
            which was in the historic part of Raffle’s Singapore master plan as well as being the centre of the silver trade.
            The large mark also states “Shi Zu Wen Yin” [100% PURE SILVER]; a term regularly used in Beijing and Hebei
            Province for silver purity standard.
