This is an incredibly rare mark - it is one of the more obscure marks that surface from time to time in Chinese
Export Silver, especially from the early period. To date, only high quality “Georgian” style flatware items have
been recorded, but from this elegant ladle, it is obvious the silversmith responsible was highly accomplished.

Research is continuing into this mark. There
are several important collections of Chinese
Export Silver around the world that contain
significant amounts of early flatware and other
items could yet be discovered.
