One of the most supremely elegant
and exquisitely made pieces is this
circa 1750 Dutch colonial tobacco
box, believed to have been made in
Indonesia [left].
The 19th century dog collar [right] bears
an engraved Philadelphia address and is
highly likely to have been made in China
and brought to the USA by either a
merchant of sea captain connected with
the China Trade.
