A JADEITE ‘CHILONG’ LOTUS LEAF-FORM BRUSH WASHER
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The washer is carved in the form of a lotus leaf growing on gnarled stems which form the
base, and carved around the sides in high relief with further leaves and lingzhi. A chilong is
shown perched on the rim in pursuit of a flaming pearl.
