A VERY RARE LONGQUAN CELADON
PAGODA-SHAPED CENSER

MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)

The three-tiered pagoda is supported by a hexagonal shaped base
and is covered overall in a pale bluish-green glaze. The first level is
modelled with six columns supporting the roof above. The second
and third levels are also raised by six coloumns, all supporting the
roofs above. The roofs of the pagoda are detailed with moulded
tiles and are modelled to each corner with dragon-carp terminals.
