AVALOKITESHVARA CHATURBHUJA The deity seated in lalitasana on a beaded double
Tibet, circa 15th century lotus base, the right hand lowered in varada
The figure seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus mudra, the left hand raised to the chest, flanked
base, the main hands in anjali mudra, the others in on both sides by a blossoming lotus stem, wearing
vitarkamudra, flanked by a lotus stem and wearing a a dhoti embellished with beaded jewellery inset
beaded dhoti, the hair drawn up into a high chignon with hardstones, the hair piled in a high chignon
surrounded by a foliate tiara, the base cast with a surrounded by a foliate tiara. 16cm (6 2/8in) high
