                                                                               LATE GORYEO DYNASTY,
                                                                               13TH-14TH CENTURY
                                                                               The pillow is decorated on the top and the base
                                                                               with lotus blossoms and the sides with various
                                                                               foral and foliate motifs, all bordered by key-fret
                                                                               bands. It is covered overall with a celadon glaze
                                                                               pooling to an emerald color in the recesses.

          A KOREAN COPPER-RED-DECORATED
          RETICULATED WATER DROPPER
          CHOSON DYNASTY, 19TH CENTURY
          The water dropper formed as an interior vessel
          inside an openwork outer layer which is decorated
          on the top and the base with an interlocking ‘cash’
          pattern, and on the sides with wan emblems. A
          spout leads from the interior vessel to a small
          opening at one corner of the outer layer. The water
          dropper is covered with a translucent glaze of blue
          tone, highlighted in copper-red.
