A WHITE JADE MUGHAL-STYLE
SNUFF BOTTLE
PROBABLY IMPERIAL, ATTRIBUTED TO THE
TIBETAN WORKSHOPS, BEIJING, 1760-1810
The rectangular body is raised on an oval foot,
each main side is carved with a stylized lotus,
each narrow side with a slender fower head, all
separated by pendent, narrow leaves undercut at
the corners, and all below a band of pendent petals
on the neck. The stone is highly polished.

A GREENISH-WHITE JADE MUGHAL JAR
AND COVER AND BRONZE SPOON
17TH-18TH CENTURY
The globular jar is crisply carved with columns of
quatrefoil motifs separated by vertical ribs, under
a horizontal band of quatrefoil motifs around the
mouth, and is raised on a petal-like lobed foot. The
domed cover is carved with a further decorative
band, and the fnial is set with a pinkish-red glass
bead. The jar rim and cover rim are both notched to
support the bronze spoon.
