A LARGE AUBERGINE-GLAZED
BOMBÉ CENSER
17TH CENTURY
The censer of compressed globular form is applied
on either side with a pair of monster-mask handles.
The censer is covered all over in a deep aubergine
glaze stopping in an irregular line above the foot,
and the base is similarly glazed.
9º in. (23.4 cm.) diam.
