     A SMALL ‘HARE’S FUR’ BOWL
     SOUTHERN SONG DYNASTY (1127-1279)

     南宋 黑釉兔毫盞

     The bowl is covered inside and out with a lustrous blackish-brown glaze fnely
     streaked with russet ‘hare’s fur’ markings fowing from the russet band below the
     rim, all stopping short of the unglazed foot.

     A RARE RUSSET-SPLASHED BLACK-GLAZED VASE,
     SONG DYNASTY (960-1279)

     宋 黑釉敞口瓶

     The vase has a compressed globular body below a waisted cylindrical neck leading
     to a wide faring mouth and is supported by a spreading foot. The body is covered
     overall in a rich black glaze with some russet-brown streaks and splashes.
