The exterior of the bowl is colourfully decorated with two green fve-clawed dragons chasing faming pearls, above eight clusters of
foral sprays. The vessel is moulded in the shape of an open lotus fower with eight petals, with the foliate mouth rim highlighted in gilt.
The interior is enamelled in turquoise, with further foral sprays to the centre.

清十八世紀 粉彩山水人物圖盤
The interior of the dish is colourfully enamelled with
a riverside landscape depicting a scholar riding on a
donkey led by a boy attendant, approaching a small
pavilion where a scholar is seated opposite another
attendant. Tall mountains, trees, scrolling clouds and
a pagoda can be seen in the far distance. The exterior
and underside are left plain.
