A CIZHOU CREAM AND BROWN-GLAZED STEM CUP
Yuan/early Ming Dynasty
The hemi-spherical cup raised on a tall ribbed foot, the exterior
vigorously painted in an iron-glaze with floral motifs, the well with a
stylised character, likely 吞 tun that may be translated as ‘gulp’, all
reserved on a buff coloured slip. 9cm (3 1/2in) diam.
