A RED-OVERLAY ‘SNOWSTORM’ GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE
1730-1780

The bottle is carved through the deep-red overlay to the translucent,
bubble-suffused ground with a continuous scene of scholars gathering
in various leisurely pursuits beneath arching pine trees and a tall
plantain tree.
