A CARVED AMBER SNUFF BOTTLE
1800-1850

The fattened bottle is carved in relief on one side with a scholar seated at a table reading
below a pine tree as his attendant heats a teapot to the side. The reverse is carved with four
boys at play around a tree.
2º in. (5.6 cm.) high, mother-of-pearl stopper
