RUSSET JADE ‘PEACH’ CARVING
18TH CENTURY
The fattened peach is borne on a leafy
branch that is undercut at the top, and is
carved on one side with an insect. The russet
color is used on one side to highlight the
leaves and the ‘blush’ of the peach skin.

A WHITE AND PALE RUSSET JADE
PENDANT
18TH-19TH CENTURY
The pendant is in the form of an oval ring
carved at the bottom with a large chilong and
at the top with a smaller chilong. The softly
polished, semi-translucent stone has areas of
pale russet color along the outer edge of each
chilong.
