           EMBROIDERY
           Dated by inscription to the summer of 1889
           Possibly intended as a gift to Vietnam, consisting
           of a central yellow silk rectangular panel decorated
           with applied red inscription and framed by a
           delicate archaistic border, surrounded by five
           finely embroidered silk hems, each respectively of
           brown, blue, red, green and red silk, each variously
           embroidered with scrolling flowers, deer, and other
           auspicious motifs.                     477 (part lot)

           FRAGMENTS
           17th-18th century
           Comprising: three rectangular panels, each with twin
           dragons above foaming waves, variously on apricot,
           midnight blue and olive green grounds; and a square
           yellow-ground embroidered dragon fragment. The   478 (part lot)
           rectangular panels 88.5cm (34.7/8in) long max.

           a deer, one surmounted by three flying bats. The
           largest 251cm (98 7/8in) x 90cm (35 1/2in) (2).
