As Twilight was turning to darkness when I had decided to walk upstream to scout out a
campsite to rescue my one kaysk and gear that had rolled, I never expected to see a rocking
chair sitting in the middle of green grass.
Ok……..that’s not all.
As if someone was expecting me, I found a log sticking straight up with wood stacked around
it, dry as tinder and more than begging for me to strike a spark.
Worse than that it all sat flat as can be next to a ridge like a ‘landing for camping” that protect-
ed it from the North and north winds.
Trees started and ended the landing east and west. Rocking Chair and stacked wood sat in the
middle of grass. Another place at least 2 chord of wood looked stashed and safe from summer,
all dry as can be. Not thinking about it I just went back got my camp light on and started work.
