'Tis easy when with simple mind Help me to tear it from thy throne,
Thy loveliness we see, To consecrate ourselves And worship only thee. 5/6
afresh to duty and to thee. 2/5
                                                                Verse 6
Verse 3 So shall my walk be close with God,
        Our every feverish mood is cooled,  and gone is         Calm and serene my frame;
every load, When we can lose the love of self, So purer light shall mark the road
And find the love of God. 3/5 That leads me to the lamb. 6/6
                                                                HOME
Verse 4 262 O love that wilt not let me go
Lord, it is coming to ourselves When thus we Verse 1
come to thee; O love that wilt not let me go,
The bondage of thy loveliness I rest my weary soul in Thee :
        Is perfect liberty. 4/5
I give Thee back the life I owe,
Verse 5 That in thine ocean depths its flow
So now we come to ask again May richer, fuller be. 1/4
        What thou hast often given,
The vision of that loveliness Verse 2
Which is the life of heaven. 5/5 O light that followest all my way,
HOME I yield my flickering torch to Thee:
261 O for a closer walk with God,

Verse 1 My heart restores its borrowed ray,
O for a closer walk with God, That in Thy sunshine's blaze its day
S calm and heavenly frame, May brighter, fairer be. 2/4
A light to shine upon the road
That leads me to the lamb. 1/6 Verse 3
O joy that seekest me through pain, I cannot
Verse 2 close my heart to Thee:
Where is the blessedness I knew When first i
saw the lord? I trace the rainbow through the rain,
Where is that soul-refreshing view And feel the promise is not vain,
Of Jesus and his word? 2/6 That morn shall tearless be. 3/4

        Verse 3 Verse 4
What peaceful hours i once enjoyed! How sweet O cross that liftest up my head,
their memory still! I dare not ask to fly from Thee:
But they have left an aching void
The world can never fill. 3/6 I lay in dust life's glory dead,
And from the ground there blossoms red Life
Verse 4 Return, O holy Dove! return Sweet that shall endless be. 4/4
        messenger of rest! HOME
I hate the sins that made thee mourn, 263 O my Saviour, hear me,
And drove thee from my breast. 4/6 Verse 5 Verse 1
The dearest idol I have known, O my Saviour, hear me,
        Whatever that idol be,                                  Draw me close to thee;

                                                         Return
