prophets wrote and spoke.
Come, Holy Ghost, our souls inspire, Unlock the truth, Thyself the key;
And lighten with celestial fire; Unseal the Sacred Book. 2/4
Thou the anointing Spirit art,
Who dost Thy sevenfold gifts impart: Verse 3
Expand Thy wings, celestial Dove
All praise to Thy eternal merit, Brood o'er our nature's night
O Father, Son, and Holy Spirit! Amen. 1/4 On our disordered spirits move

Thy blessed unction from above Verse 4
Is comfort, life, and fire of love; God, through Himself, we then shall know
Enable with perpetual light If Thou within us shine,
The dullness of our blinded sight: And sound with all Thy saints below,
