I was inspired to go to Houston because I wanted
to help in any way that I could. I have always been
interested in community health and medical
missions and going to Houston was an extension
of our medical community. I am currently a Master
of Public Health candidate, and this experience
solidifi ed my reasons for getting my MPH. Not
only that, but being able to work on an inpatient
Leukemia fl oor taught me so much about oncology
care. It has been an honor to be a part of this team.
Through this trip, I was able to live out our values
of being Truly Compassionate and Truly Together.
Seeing Northwell members from diff erent hospitals
come together with the sole purpose of reaching out Amrita Mahadeo, BSN, RN, on right
