Jenny Okonkwo
Founder, Black Female Accountants Network
Jenny is passionate about helping women from
her community understand their full potential in
order to become their best professional selves.
She achieves this by using tools and
techniques that help participants identify
personal areas of opportunity and strengths as
a basis for clearly identifying what they stand
for and who they represent. She is also the
founder of Black Female Accountants Network,
a volunteer forum based on 3 core pillars:
helping newcomer members reconnect with
their professional careers, inspiring and
encouraging the future generation of female
accountants from the community, professional
development and career opportunities for local
members.
Jenny is a volunteer member of the AICPA
National Commission on Diversity and Inclusion
and the Association for Finance Professionals
(AFP) Task Force for developing the Corporate
FP&A Credential. Both these associations are
based in the US. She is an MBA holder,
designated member of CPA Ontario and a
Fellow of the Chartered institute of
Management Accountants based in the UK.
In 2016 Jenny was named a Role Model by
Diversity Advancement Network. In 2019 Jenny
was nominated and selected to receive the
inaugural CPA Ontario "Be the Change"
Volunteer Award, "Top 75 Finalist - RBC Top 25
Canadian Immigrant Awards and is one of the
"Top 100 Black Women to Watch in Canada",
