Jenny Okonkwo
Jenny Okonkwo is a leader in the finance and accounting
profession and has truly embraced the spirit of
volunteering in her professional community. As founder of
Black Female Accountants Network, Jenny's passion lies
in her desire to encourage members to reach their full
potential by (i) fostering a culture of members working
together to create opportunities for themselves and others
and (ii) making the invisible visible, by giving back to the
profession at all levels.
She is an experienced senior finance professional, having
worked in several countries across three continents,
helping companies solve complex business problems.
Jenny's consulting career spans several industry sectors
including financial Services, fast moving / consumer
packaged goods, telecommunications, utilities,
pharmaceuticals, aviation. She is a keynote speaker,
mentor and volunteer subject matter expert for
Association for Financial Professionals.
Jenny has an MBA from Open University Business School
(Top 1% of UK business schools with triple international
accreditation). She is a member of Chartered Professional
Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario), Chartered
Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) and
became a fellow of Chartered Institute of Management
Accountants (CIMA) in 2017. Jenny is also holder of the
Certified Corporate FP&A Professional credential.
In 2016 Jenny received a Diversity Advancement Network
Role Model award. In January of this year she was
nominated by Toronto Regional Immigration and
Employment Council (TRIEC) for the Pioneers for Change
(PfC) 2018 Award, in the ‘Women in Leadership’ category.
