 ATTENDANCE & TIME KEEPING
Keeping on time and prompt attendance is vital for the lives of our clients, so if you are to be late then please inform the Ranger Home Care office immeidately. Handovers should start at 11am and finish by 1 pm, so please mark it on your timesheet if you stayed later than pm; you will receive compensation.
RECORD OF ATTENDANCE
We operate a signing-in system which enables us to keep a record of attendance. We rely on this information for invoicing and wages, so please remember to sign in otherwise you may risk a non-payment of money. So, to ensure you receive the money owed to you, log into PASS.
HANDLING CLIENT’S MONEY
If you are required to handle a client’s money, follow the laid down procedures in the Client’s Care Plan and the Client’s Finances Policy and Procedure. Record every transaction for the safety and security for you and your clients.
INFORMATION ABOUT CLIENTS
Information regarding clients will be on the PASS system and on the client’s Care Plan, so if you are attending a new client for the first time, please familiarise yourself with their Care Plan. Information on our clients is all confidential, so remember not to disclose any information to your family, friends, or other carers. When you attend the client, remember to record all completed tasks on the PASS system; this is a legally binding documentation system which can be used in court, so always record professionally and appropriately.
PARKING
To allow for visitors, carers must park at the furthest distance available from the main entrance. Ensure that these are parked securely as we accept no liability for damage caused to your vehicle.
HOUSEKEEPING
In accordance with your contract, part of your job is housekeeping.
We expect you to do:
• your clients and your laundry, washing, ironing and putting away
• keep the kitchen and other food areas hygienic and clean – ensure food standards rules are met. • hoover and clean the house
• strip the bed as per the Care Plan or if it has been soiled
• keep the bathrooms clean and cleanse washing utensils daily
• clean equipment i.e commodes
Remember, we are here to help, so if you are struggling to do all of this, please notify us. We can’t help if we don’t know.
