PITCH

          PERFECT

            Claudia Zimba- Staff Writer

resenting a perfect pitch is daunting and requires practice.
Over time and after possible bad experiences, one gets the
Phang of it. If you are anything like me, your confidence can
deceive you before you realise that it is not a speech competition
but a game of facts and numbers. Many startups make the mistake
of pitching before having all their facts right.
If you are an entrepreneur looking to launch a new business and
find capital, the first step in developing a relationship with potential
investors is to write a pitch or presentation of your idea. Your pitch
must be well-composed and straight to the point.
It is important for you to introduce yourself and your business
to give your audience an insight into what it’s all about. Give
a brief presentation on why you believe your new business will
succeed and convince investors that they will get their money back
on the capital they inject into your venture. Some organisations
pitch for partners or resources to accomplish their mission. Other
businesses pitch their products to potential customers. Your vision
must describe how your potential investor will benefit from your
                         business.

                         The Team
Investors believe that a team is important because each member
contributes to the company in order to make the concept successful.
Here are the steps to creating a team slide show:
                         1. Add team members’ photos
                         2. Include team members’ titles
                         3. Outline each individual’s relevant expertise in their line of work

                         The Problem
You need to define the problem that your startup is solving.
                         1. How big is the problem?
                         2. Why is it important?
                         3. Who are you solving the problem for?

                         Solution
Identify the reasons behind the problem and then focus on the
                         solutions.
