open top containers increased to almost 200,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) from 150,000 TEUs. Initially, the company planned to acquire 8,600 containers with a combined capacity of 12,500 TEUs in 2022, but it more than doubled spending on new containers to 9bn rubles from 4bn rubles acquiring 23,700 large containers with a capacity of more than 37,600 TEUs in the wake of foreign shipping companies’ withdrawal from Russia that reduced the amount of containers in the country. Besides containers, the company acquired about 2,600 container platforms worth almost 8bn rubles last year.
