On a warm Dubai winter, I sat and I contemplated upon my future studies.
However, this false sense of peace was suddenly overturned when I became
unable to get out of my chair - a piece of my trousers appeared to be held hos-
tage by the crevices of said chair. I became engulfed by a sense of panic. I was
betrayed by a chair. A fellow classmate came to my rescue, but to no avail. In
the end I asked Kristen to cut the piece to free me from this entrapment. This
is the highlight of my school year and it sums up how I feel about this school.
This is a story about strength, unity, intelligence, and triumph. Take what you
like from this story, for it contains many hidden messages and meanings.
In grade 5, a girl I used to play with transferred to Canada so I was alone every break on the
senior staircase. One day two girls named Akansha and Pinxuan asked me to play Catchers
Reading with them. That was the day I made real friends.
