Wow. Fourteen years. From coming up with lame jokes in
Mr. Jarouche’s class to getting infinite late notes from
Mr. Ali Daoud, the memories I have made in this school
are unforgettable. I still can’t believe that after years of
reading the Senior profiles in every yearbook it’s my
turn. To all my teachers, thank you tremendously for
dealing with my incessant babbling and constant
questions. To Nemo, Dandoon, and Fatoom, you’re my
favorite people and my soulmates; no words can describe
how much I love you. To Mama, Baba, Yazoon, and Joud,
nothing can describe how grateful I am for such a caring
and supportive family. Thank you for shaping me into
the strong, opinionated woman I am. To Choueifat,
despite all the exams you’ve thrown at me, I couldn’t ask
for a more nurturing, loving environment than the one
you’ve provided me with. I’m happy to finally say “We’ve
made it.”

I don’t know where to start. One day you’re six
years old playing with dolls, and the next you’re
applying to a med school in Germany. I’ve lost track
of the number of times I wanted to drop out of
school and the mental breakdowns I endured during
my time in Choueifat, but one thing I know for sure
is that it has all paid off, and I will forever cherish
the memories I’ve made. I must say that I wouldn’t
be the person I am today if it weren’t for my
parents who have worked so hard to sculpt me and
supported me through everything. Shoutout to the
Herd, lism, the Syrian clique, and Mr. Mahmoud.
And last but not least, My HB’s, you will forever be
