The community came out and saw the man

sitting and clothed in his right mind.

Now, the man was healed in the SOUL—

(mind, will, and emotions).

The Gifts of Healing (plural) suggests

that each healing is a separate operation

inspired by the Holy Spirit.

Examples from scripture:

(Acts 3:4-8—Peter and John exercised the gifts

of healing to cause the man lame

from his mother’s womb to walk.)

(Acts 9:33-34—Peter exercised the gifts of healing

to cause Aeneas to get up.)

(Acts 14:8-10—Paul exercised the gifts of healing

to cause a man born lame to walk.)
