Examples of four types
of prophetic utterances:
1. The Spirit of prophecy.
This happens in situations when the Holy
Spirit moves in a mighty way.
Where everyone who comes near feels
inspired to prophesy;
it may be the only time in their lives—
they may never prophesy again.
(1 Samuel 19:20, 23-24—The messengers
and King Saul prophesied.)
(Acts 19:1-6—The disciples of John prophesied.)
2. The Gift of Prophecy.
(Acts 21:9—Philip’s four unmarried daughters prophesied.)
