The strength of this method lies in the fact that I am not telling my clients which colours to integrate but I let my clients choose themselves. I believe that the client’s own subconscious knows best what it wants to shift or change. I only lay all the colours in front of the client; the colours they are currently using and the colours that are currently missing.
The feedback of the client is always positive because they feel that they are more in control of their own life. They are integrating the colours in their life that were a challenge for them due to their upbringing, conditioning or emotional events that have happened in the past. The power lies in the fact that the client gets the information WHY they never wore this colour or what happened that made them stop using this colour. This awareness is the motivation to deal with the issue by simply starting to integrate this colour in their life. As soon as they can visibly wear this colour, their environment will see them in a different light and treat them differently. Don’t underestimate the power of colour. I have seen people get physically ill or nauseous, just by looking at a specifc colour that refects a negative emotional memory.
About 5 years ago I started working with my friend and fellow practitioner, Mary Ashby- Green, on a new method that also uses colour as a medium. We wanted to develop a tool for practitioners to use colour as a language in order to get fast and accurate insight into their clients and to help shift their client’s thoughts, emotions and mindsets, without the need for the practitioner to study the psychology of colour.
