JOINT SECRETARY'S COLUMN

To develop community feelings among ourselves and to introduce our cultural
heritage and tradition to the next generation and to sustain continuity, we have
introduced Durga Puja at our very own Deeshari Megacity for the first time in 2016.

To follow the tradition, we have organized our 3 year Durga Puja in 2018. The
grand success of the Puja symbolizes together what we can achieve.

Durga Puja is not a mere religious function. It signifies harmony amongst everybody
and it occupies a very special place in the heart of all, irrespective of caste, creed and
religion. Although, during these days of Puja, Bengalis get together and share the
auspicious occasion but at Megacity, we observed that people from all community
have imbibed the essence of Durga Puja celebrations by cooperating with us and
supporting us in many ways be it physically, morally or financially.

We are proud to mention that our Puja has stood as a hard rock of solid hard core
foundation in the turmoil and era f differences.

During our association with the Puja Committee, we have seen the tremendous
dedication and energy of our residents some of whom don't stay here permanently.
Frankly speaking, it only gave us vigor to work more. We distinctly remember when
the Puja Committee was formed, there were very few members. More new members
have come and joined in course of time. Without support of each and every single
member it would not have been possible to carry out the activities.

To this great occasion our sincere gratitude to all the residents and flat owners for
guiding us to keep the evil spirit at bay and helping us to organize the Puja in a
befitted manner.

We, on behalf of Megacity Residents Puja Committee would like to take the
opportunity to thank all the members of the committee and extend sincere gratitude
to all the patrons, Deeshari management and supporting staffs, the advertisers and
our sponsors.

We would like to convey our deep sense of gratitude to Sonarpur Police Station and
Rajpur Sonarpur Municipality for their support and cooperation.
Lastly but not the least our thanks to those who despite holding no organizational
post in the committee but have shown immense interest and has given tremendous
effort in steering our activities.
