ผลของโปรแกรมการรับรู้ความเชื่อด้านสุขภาพต่อระดับทัศนคติ
ในสตรีที่เข้ารับการตรวจคัดกรองมะเร็งปากมดลูก ต าบลท่าข้าวเปลือก
อ าเภอแม่จัน จังหวัดเชียงราย

Objective:
To study the effect of Health Belief Model (HBM) program on the perceptions
and attitude among women who came for Pap smear service.

Methods:
A quasi-experimental study in one group with pre and post-tests among 351
women aged 30-60 years old was carried out in Tha Khao Plueak health promoting

hospital. A systematic random sampling of participants was applied and provided

the HBM program for 2 days. After the program, the mean scores of self-
evaluation tests toward perceptions and attitude for Pap smear service by using
the questionnaires between before and after program were compared. The data

was analyzed by descriptive study and Pair T-test.
Results:
The results showed that the perceptions of susceptibility, severity, barrier

and attitude (benefit) of cervical cancer screening between before and after HBM
program was significantly different at P<0.05.

Discussion and Conclusion:
The HBM program was effect on perceptions and attitude among the

women who came for Pap smear test. This program could be applied in the
health promoting hospital in order to increase the number of women in the risk
group to receive the Pap smear screening test.
