gospel (II Thes 1:7-8). Jesus agrees with this. I often like to say

that God only required two very general things of the Old

Testament Jews:

(1) Forsake all other nations, religions and gods, and

(2) Only believe and live by his LAW.

And God only requires two basic things from us Christians:

(1) Forsake all other preaching, theologies and beliefs, and

(2) Only believe and live by his GOSPEL.

The ancient Jews failed miserably. How well do we compare?

The Gospel of Jesus Is In His Parables

Jesus’ parables are also on the site I just mentioned. Centu-

ries ago God told Moses he’d send a Prophet (Jesus) with this

message, and he’d REQUIRE us to believe it (Deut 18:15-19).

The Book of Acts repeats this (Acts 3:22-26).

Thus the gospel is SO important!! It’s why God says we must

live it. It is how God gives us everything good his Kingdom

has to give, and it’s how he performs his good work in us.

I think living the gospel is how we show God we believe and

trust him. And it is how we . . .
