The gospel is God’s process to work his Kingdom into us. It sows

all God’s good seed into us. “He who did not spare his own Son...

how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” — Jesus

says, “It is the Father’s good pleasure to give you his Kingdom.”

The gospel of Christ is what God uses

to BLESS us out of our socks!

He begins by meeting our 7 human needs

that we looked at on pages 19-22).

Jesus says, “My way is EASY!” The gospel makes it easy on us

because it is God’s process in and through us. Paul speaks of “The

SIMPLICITY that is in Christ.” Gospel truth is not complicated. God

had to make it simple and easy so we could understand and live

it. The fact is the Bible is a very LEGAL writing (note: I did not say

it is legalistic).

The Bible is divided into Old and New Covenants — which we

wrongly tend to think of as being like modern contracts. Then there

is propitiation, justification, redemption, adoption, pardon, restitu-

tion, judgment, reconciliation, and many other such terms. Hebrews

even defines faith as ‘evidence,’ which is a very legal subject.

You don’t have to be a lawyer to read the Bible. Praise God!

But I know that, because I have a spiritual heart, I understand

things in Scripture that some folks stumble over.

Used properly, a legal mind does help in understanding the

Bible at deeper levels — and in particular, the New Covenant of

God’s gospel truth and reality!
