The Tribulation
term “the Great Tribulation” is properly used. There is no
just scriptural ground, therefore, for confusing this future time
of trouble with the trials and tribulations of the saints
throughout the church age.
In establishing, therefore, the meaning of the question
“Will the church go through the Tribulation?” it should be
clear that the issue is whether the last generation of saints in
this present age will remain on earth through this predicted
time of trouble or whether they will be translated and caught
up to heaven before the time of trouble begins. Having defined
the principal terms according to scriptural usage, the relative
arguments of the various views can now be considered in
order.
