European students are not highly aff ected by climate
change; mostly students in Africa, South America, and
most of Asia are. There should be an exchange program
where European students and students from areas hit
by climate change can meet each other and exchange
experiences. This programme should make young people
in Europe realise why we need to act on climate change.

Competitions can be organised between schools,
where they try to be the most eco-friendly school.
To make it more exciting, projects and rankings
can be placed on and regularly updated through
an online tool. This could be done on a national or
even European level.

We need campaigns within schools to raise
awareness and give meaning to the actions
youngsters are ought to do.
