The County’s fourth annual Customer Service Week celebration took place October 2– 6, 2023!

As we mark another year of Customer Service Week, a nationally recognized annual event initially launched
over thirty years ago, let’s take a moment to reflect and celebrate the exceptional service provided by County
of Monterey employees.
During the Board of Supervisors meeting held on October 3, 2023, Chair Alejo presented a resolution to honor
all employees in recognition of Customer Service Week. The occasion served as a testament to the value
placed on the hard work and dedication of the employees, and their contributions to the County of
Monterey’s continued success.

Nick Chiulos, Chief Assistant County Administrative Officer, also hosted the second annual Customer Service

Week Virtual Pep Rally. This year’s webinar, which took place on October 4 from noon to 1:00 p.m., provided
a platform for department heads and designees to showcase and acknowledge their employee's exceptional
customer service achievements. The event was a true testament to the power of unity and dedication in
achieving excellence in customer service.

As in previous years, all employees were encouraged to submit team photos, customer service testimonials,
and “Take the Lead” videos. We are proud to share with you all the amazing videos from this year, including a
special acknowledgment from Supervisor Adams to all employees and the Pep Rally Half-Time video. Please

do."
