Study Section 8: Prepositions, Conjunctions, & Interjections

             8.1 Connect

Prepositions tell us where something is in relation to another or when something happened. It
usually precedes a noun or pronoun and expresses a relation to another word or element in the
sentence. There are quite a variety of prepositions which communicate spatial or temporal
relationships. Conjunctions are words that connect words or sentences together like glue. An
interjection is a word or expression that occurs as an utterance on its own and expresses feeling or
relation. Normally all Interjections end the sentence with an exclamation point. Wow! This is going to be
            exciting.
