Printing
To print your document, go to File > Print. When your document looks how you want it and all the
settings are put in, click Print in the upper left corner (see picture above).

              Saving as a PDF
A PDF is like making a photocopy of your document and saving it in digital format. You can then
send your document to another person and it will look exactly like the original. The nicest thing
about PDF is that the recipient cannot CHANGE anything in the document. It is not editable. So, if
you are sending legal documents or other documents that you do not want to be altered in any
way, send them as a PDF.

To save your document in the PDF file format, go to File >Save as Adobe PDF (Right). You can also
go to the “Save As” dialogue box and change the document type from Word Document (.docx) to
PDF (.pdf). The saving dialog box will appear where you can rename your document, select the
saving destination, and select the file format of the document.

A third option is to download a FREE program called Primo PDF. It is available on the internet. It acts like a second
printer attached to your computer. You can push “Print” and select “Primo PDF” as your printer, and your
document will be “printed” as a pdf and saved in whatever location you select.
