7.5 Let’s Personalize this Lesson…
Activity: Let’s give it a try. Open up Excel. Type in three headers, on in column A, one in Column B and
one in Column C. Column A header should say “Item” and column B should say “Income” and Column
C should say “Expense”.
Now type in some type of income you have received. Perhaps in A you earned income from mowing
someone’s lawn. Under Item, type in “mowing lawn” and enter an amount you received in the Income column.
Then next you went to the store and bought a soft drink, because you were thirsty. Type in “Soft Drink” in the next
line under Item, then type in the amount you paid in the EXPENSE column. Keep going making stuff up. When you
get several things entered, save your document. We will use it later in the next lesson.
