In this regard, QIA nominated the following individuals to
lead the Qatari chapter of MQJBC:
1) Mr. Omar Hamad Al Mana, Chairman, Almana
Group;
2) Mr. Abdel Hameed Mustafawi, CEO, Qatar Building
Co; and
3) HE. Dr. Hussain Al-Abdulla, Executive Board
Member, Qatar Investment Authority.
For the Malaysian chapter, the nominees were:
1) Dato’ Sri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh of DRB-
Hicom;
2) YBhg Dato' Noorazman Abd Aziz of Khazanah; and
3) YBhg Tan Sri AK Nathan of Eversendai.
Former YAB Prime Minister was scheduled to witness the
signing of the agreement on the establishment of MQJBC
on 18 March 2014, during his official visit to Qatar.
However, the visit was postponed due to MH370 incident
and there has been no progress reported thereafter.
The MoA on the Establishment of MQJBC is slated to be
signed by the National Chamber of Commerce and
Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM) and its Qatari counterpart
during the State Visit of the Emir of Qatar to Malaysia on
15-16 October 2017.
C. MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT ON THE
ESTABLISHMENT OF MQJBC
On 17 October 2017, the MoA on the establishment of
MQJBC was signed by the officials of the Qatar Chamber,
the Malay Chamber of Commerce Malaysia (MCCM), and
the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of
