 Meanwhile, the potential areas for Malaysian
investments/collaborations in Qatar include:

i. Agriculture and livestock;
ii. Construction (in light of the upcoming FIFA World
Cup 2022);
iii. Tourism;
iv. Manufacturing; and
v. Logistics.

 In view of the boycott and the arising opportunities for a
more robust Malaysia-Qatar economic cooperation, the
Embassy of Qatar in Malaysia has sought MITI and
agencies’ cooperation to connect them with prospective
Malaysian companies in several strategic sectors to be
linked with Qatari businesses. In this regard, MATRADE
has furnished the Embassy with a list of Malaysian
companies for their reference.
